Latex and Polyurethane Condoms
Condoms have come a LONG way in the last decade. If you have had bad "condom" experiences in the past, for the sake of your safety we encourage you to try some of the new brands and styles.
Condoms these day are thinner and come in more sizes (and flavors) than ever before. Before you say you can't stand using a condom, do yourself a favor and experiment with all the new options!
If you can't get to a FUK!T location or the drug store, you don't even have to leave your house to try out different types of condoms--you can buy them online and get them delivered right to your mailbox. Just enter "condoms" into the Amazon.com search engine and you can find just about every brand type of condom on the market! There are plenty of other online condom shops online too, like condomania.com, condomdepot.com, and condomsense.com.
Latex condoms are the recommended type of condom, unless you are allergic to latex, in which case you should use a polyurethane condom. Never use a "natural" condom. They are useless for preventing HIV and other STDs.
Latex condoms can only be used with water or silicone based lubricants. Oil based lubricants such as Vaseline, massage oils, baby oil, Crisco or cold cream will dissolve the latex and break the condom--don't use them!!!!!
Polyurethane condoms are made of a type of plastic. They are thinner than latex condoms, and so they increase sensitivity so some guys prefer the look, feel and smell. Unfortunately, they are more expensive than latex condoms and a bit less flexible, so you should use more lubrication. Oil, silicone and water based lubricants can be used with polyurethane condoms, although we recommend sticking with water based and silicone based lubricants so you don't ever make the mistake of using the wrong type! Remember, oil based lubricants and lotions dissolve latex condoms!!
It's not clear whether latex or polyurethane condoms are stronger and there are studies suggesting that either is less likely to break. With both types however, the likelihood of breakages is very small if condoms are used correctly with plenty of condom safe lube.

Condom Safe Lubes: Silicone and Water Based
The only types of lube that are safe to use with latex condoms are water based and silicone based lubes. Water based lubes are easy to clean up, but don't last as long. Silicone lubes last longer, but can stain sheets and clothes. Experiment with both and see what you like!
Some popular lubes are:
Eros Silicon
Wet Platinum
Liquid Silk
Wet Flavored
